Stroke Care

Through a partnership with UofL Health Care, Frankfort Regional Medical Center provides a full range of neuro care, from primary treatment through inpatient rehabilitation. Our emergency department is able to provide neurological treatment for stroke within minutes of a patient's arrival to speed care and save lives. The system is designed to diagnose a stroke and begin treatment quickly - saving precious time and, therefore, brain.

The network provides the highly specialized expertise and support resources of the UofL medical faculty via a remote controlled robot. The ‘anytime anywhere patient care' network is designed as a partnership with other hospitals to create better diagnoses and allow patients to remain in their regions when appropriate. If a transfer is recommended, the network offers easy access to technologies, specialist and leading edge treatments available at University Hospital.
