The Sleep Center at Frankfort Regional Medical Center is nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and offers the latest diagnostic tools available in sleep medicine. Through a simple "sleep study" our medical staff can track your pattern of sleep and determine if you would benefit from any of a number of sleep assisting treatments.

The Sleep Center is equipped with the most modern computer monitoring equipment and staffed by registered polysomnographers and respiratory therapists. The staff has a combined total of more than 100 years in the health care field and over 40 years of experience with the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Every study is reviewed by a Board Certified Sleep Physician with expertise in sleep disorders.

The Medical Director, Pamela Combs, M.D., is a board-certified sleep specialist and a Diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Specialists.

Individuals who may benefit from the Sleep Center are those who have chronic problems falling asleep at night or staying awake during the day, as well as those who suffer from excessive snoring or breathing disturbances. The Sleep Center is capable of monitoring adults, adolescents and children.

Many other medical problems may impact sleep or may be affected by sleep disorders. If you have heart or lung disease and poor sleep, you should consider talking with your doctor about your sleep problem or arranging an evaluation by the Sleep Center.

Because the goal of the Sleep Center is to observe and monitor the "typical" sleeping behavior of patients, each patient needs to get the best night's sleep possible. That's why we have gone to great lengths to provide the comforts of home in an attractive and inviting setting. Each patient room is private and equipped with a full-size comfortable bed and private bath.
