DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING
Diagnostic Imaging services at Frankfort Regional are designed for customer convenience and physician confidence. The hospital recently purchased a 1.5T-field-strength MRI to provide superior image quality for a complete range of clinical applications. The new MRI reduces exam times, and its ultra-short bore alleviates the concerns of many claustrophobic patients. The hospital utilizes PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System), a system for computerized storage of the procedure images, to allow physicians to view images quickly and conveniently. Results are automatically faxed to physician offices following the signed interpretation. In the case that an unsuspected critical finding is discovered, our radiologists will contact the physician or office staff immediately with a report.
