Frankfort Regional Medical Center is dedicated to the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of acute, chronic, and cancer pain disorders. Our goal is to relieve pain, or reduce pain and enable the patient to manage it effectively, so that quality of life can be restored.

Pain is a condition that affects the daily life and financial security of hundreds of thousands of individuals and their families. It is a complex, challenging problem requiring careful investigation of symptoms and specialized care. For persons suffering from acute, chronic and cancer-related pain, we offer a full range of outpatient evaluation and treatment techniques, as well as inpatient consultation services.

A variety of interventions and therapies are offered for the myriad conditions that can cause pain. These range from simple office procedures, such as trigger point injections and epidural steroid injections, to fluoroscopically guided procedures, such as facet injections or lumbar sympathetic blocks.  Each patient, however, presents a unique challenge, and occasionally multiple interventions or combinations may be tried before success is obtained. Through injections, pharmacologic management, psychologic methods, and physical therapy, we are equipped to successfully treat the majority of our patients.
