Chief Executive Officer

Chip Peal was appointed CEO of Frankfort Regional Medical Center in October 2006 following a stint as CEO of Putnam General Hospital in Hurricane, West Virginia.

Peal began his healthcare career as an exercise physiologist at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia. He worked as Rehab Services Team Leader and Director of Physician & Network Operations at Putnam General Hospital from 1994-1998 and later worked as Senior Director of Practice Management at Logan General Hospital in Logan, West Virginia from 1999-2002. Peal was an Associate Administrator and Chief Operating Officer of Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor, Virginia, from March 2002 until May 2006.

Peal received a master’s degree in business administration from West Virginia Graduate College in Institute, West Virginia. He earned his master’s degree in cardiac rehabilitation and his bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. He also served as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps.

Peal is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA and is a member of the Frankfort Rotary Club.
